Sharing a strong bond with your child comes first in the list. It is a prerequisite for a great parenting. A bond is like a communication bridge between you a your child which help you deliver your best to the child. Now comes the question of how to build the bridge. For this you can use the following opportunities:

Make them a part of your fitness regimen: First of all, physical health is the most crucial part of your child’s overall development. It is not just about physical health but also about good mental health. Involving your child in your fitness journey inculcates in them the good habit of adopting a healthy lifestyle that goes a long way towards ensuring a healthier and successful life. Additionally, fitness or playing is the time-tested best activity to bond over with your children.
Involve children in daily chores: Carrying out your daily chores with your child helps in bonding naturally with the children. And, allows the children to get more exposure to different aspects of life. And the good side is if you are short on time, you won’t need to find time especially to spend it with your children.
Family that eats together: Try to have meal with your children at least once a day. Making the meal time your family time is a wonderful way to strengthen the bond with the children. Ask about their day, share the happenings of your day this enhances the understanding between you and your children and make them feel that they are a part of the team.

Be their partner: Dedicate a time of the day where your child tells you what to do instead of you telling it to them. It might be hard initially but give it some time and you would really enjoy it. Start with short durations to make it easy for you. Also, give time one child at a time and do not merge it with your other children until they want it. This time is important to teach them the importance of failure as well as strengthening of your bond. Let them do whatever they want, make them enjoy their autonomy by not going too close to disturb it neither go too far that you are unable to catch when the fall.

Understand their disappointments: The most important aspect of understanding the behaviour of your child is to understand his or her disappointments. If the child is quitter than usual and not taking interest in any activity, then chances are that the child is bothered about something. While you may try to talk to them but chances are they may notwant to talk about it with you initially. Insuch a case, give them some time, keep the communication channel clear and have some patience. With time the child will learn to talk about their problems and you need to make sure not to patronise or belittle their problems. No matter how small or unimportant their problem appear to you, they are important to your child. And this is the best time to build trust in the relationship.
Give them time: It is very important that you understand that every individual is different and so is your child. In fact all your children are different individuals and you need to give each of your children some time to bloom. Do not haste or force anything on them as it will only backfire. Even giving them time to learn from their failures may be a good strategy. You just need to be vigilant and patient. Let them make friends: No matter how friendly you are, a child will always need other child. It is very important that a child meets other children of his or her age in a professional setting, where they can learn the art of socialising with others. That is why, whether it for playing together, having fun or sharing problem an adult cannot play the role which a child would be able play in the life of other child.
